Random facts I discovered by myself

1. When you're  about to sneeze, but you're  having a hard time to actually sneeze, just look at the sun, or any other source of light and you will sneeze instantly.

2. When you're  about to sneeze, same with no. 1, push the roof of your mouth with your tongue and close your eyes to stop sneezing.

3. To get rid of sinusitis or clogged nose, push the roof of your mouth with your tongue and massage your nose bride and eyebrow line.

4. When you have colds and one of your nostrils airway is blocked, pinch your nose really tight and blow your nose moderately and when you release your fingers from pinching it, you can have a temporary decongested nasal airway. (you can breathe properly for 10 seconds, or depending on how heavy your colds is)
(Facts 1-4 :) yes, I have respiratory problems)

5. One sign that your hair is really dirty is when your shampoo doesn’t form foam bubbles when you massage it in your hair. (tried this when not taking a bath for 3-5 days)

6. If you want your hair to become a bit lighter, squeeze lemon juice to your hair and stay under the sun for 1 hour. Repeat the process if necessary. I tried it myself, from natural dark brown hair, to ginger. If it doesn’t work for you, try replacing the lemon juice to 12% hydrogen peroxide (can be bought anywhere, or in a cosmetics shop)

7. When you did an all-nighter (awake for the whole night) and ended up trying to sleep at 6 or 7am, then forget about it. Just look at the sun for a few minutes, take breakfast, take a bath, and you're  good as someone who actually had a good sleep. I don’t know the specific explanation for this, but I have tried this so many times since high school (I was in a night shift schedule in high school, and I always do an all-nighter for random things, pretty nocturnal)

8. If you really want to sleep after being awake from night til dawn, drink milk without sugar, perform exhausting exercises, and drink lots of water. If that doesn’t work, then 2 hours before you're  gonna sleep, drink something with a really high sugar content. It will make you hyper for 2 hours but after it, it will really make you tired and sleepy.

9. If you slept really late (not an allnighter, but some 2am-3am), try wearing shades the next day (when you wake up).  It relaxes you.

10. When going from a well-lit place to a dark place (or room), vice versa, try covering one of your eyes with your hand while entering. After you’re already inside, let your hand stay for about 5 seconds. So you don’t experience going blind for a few seconds.

11. To see better in the dark, eat 1 teaspoon (or Tablespoon lol) of sugar, or 2 cubes of sugar, while closing your eyes for 3 minutes. When opening your eyes, do it slowly and make sure you're  already in that dark place. This effect is temporary and lasts about 10minutes to 1 hour. And will stop when your drink 2 glasses of water. (still don’t know it's explanation, but I experienced the things I listed here myself.

12. To see better in the dark permanently, try reading books directly infront of the sun or a source of light. Make an eclipse effect; cover the sun or the light source with your book while reading. When you’re not into books, try dimming your laptop to the lowest level of brightness, and use it outside (in the porch or anywhere outside). Make sure that your laptop screen is facing the sun. Try to see it's reflection on your laptop screen.

I'm sorry, but I don't want to be an emperor. That's not my business. I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone if possible; Jew, Gentile, black man, white. We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone, and the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men's souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical; our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost. The airplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men; cries out for universal brotherhood; for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, millions of despairing men, women, and little children, victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me, I say, do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish. Soldiers! Don't give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you, enslave you; who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel! Who drill you, diet you, treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines, you are not cattle, you are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts! You don't hate! Only the unloved hate; the unloved and the unnatural. Soldiers! Don't fight for slavery! Fight for liberty! In the seventeenth chapter of St. Luke, it is written that the kingdom of God is within man, not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people, have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy, let us use that power. Let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world, a decent world that will give men a chance to work, that will give youth a future and old age a security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfill that promise. They never will! Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfill that promise. Let us fight to free the world! To do away with national barriers! To do away with greed, with hate and intolerance! Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness. Soldiers, in the name of democracy, let us all unite! Hannah, can you hear me? Wherever you are, look up Hannah! The clouds are lifting! The sun is breaking through! We are coming out of the darkness into the light! We are coming into a new world; a kindlier world, where men will rise above their hate, their greed, and brutality. Look up, Hannah! The soul of man has been given wings and at last he is beginning to fly. He is flying into the rainbow! Into the light of hope, into the future! The glorious future, that belongs to you, to me and to all of us. Look up, Hannah. Look up!
- A Jewish Barber (Charlie Chaplin). The Great Dictator (1940). Dir. Charlie Chaplin.

Very Inspiring. I never thought something like this would be said in this kind of movie. And this would most definitely be my speech in my classes.

Adjustment Bureau

Do we control our destiny, or do unseen forces manipulate us? Matt Damon stars in the thriller The Adjustment Bureau as a man who glimpses the future Fate has planned for him and realizes he wants something else. To get it, he must pursue the only woman he's ever loved across, under and through the streets of modern-day New York. On the brink of winning a seat in the U.S. Senate, ambitious politician David Norris (Damon) meets beautiful contemporary ballet dancer Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt)-a woman like none he's ever known. But just as he realizes he's falling for her, mysterious men conspire to keep the two apart. David learns he is up against the agents of Fate itself-the men of The Adjustment Bureau-who will do everything in their considerable power to prevent David and Elise from being together. In the face of overwhelming odds, he must either let her go and accept a predetermined path...

REALLY great movie. Matt Damon and Emily Blunt were the perfect ones for this. He meets a girl moments before his speech in a comfort room, and eventually inspires David Norris (Matt) to change his speech so he could win the votes of the people. They werent meant to be inlove, as the girls role in David's life was just in that moment. By chance, they met again in a bus and the two fell inlove with each other. But this was not David's fate. David is supposed to live his usual lonely life as a politician and acquire satisfaction from the votes of the people. And if he falls inlove with Elise (Emily) he wouldnt continue to run for senate and further run for Presidency. The Adjustment Bureau is responsible for this, and they are set to keep them apart. But for David, Fate has to adjust to his life, to his love, and not the other way around. I cannot emphasize enough the epicness of this movie. 9.8 for me :D

Secularization and Philippines' Reproductive Health Bill

For hundreds of years, the Philippines has been known as the only Christian country in the lot of Asia. Although I would be proud for it to be called a “Christian” country in general, but what reality told me is that Philippines is a “Catholic” country (Yes, for thousands of years, people have been debating whether Catholicism is Christian or not. I personally don’t believe it is.) Anyway, Catholicism arrived and was introduced here in the Philippines by the Spaniards who took over our lands and raped our ancestors. They shoved Catholicism down the throats of the natives and controlled the Philippines.
The impressions I get whenever I hear “Catholicism” in the matters of Politics and State issues are:
“Conservative, Traditional, Degrading, Burden, Irrational, Selfish…etc”

I strongly believe that a country’s ground for moral and ethical basis should be coming from the Christian Bible. That’s about it.

However, when a cute commercial featuring 2 kids talking about their relationship and how the boy doesn’t want a girlfriend because he couldn’t cope up with a girls unreasonable demands.. etc..(YES I AM Talking about the McDonalds Fries: Boyfriend Girlfriend commercial) is BANNED from airing on television, just because a Religious sect(CBCP) believes it is “IMMORAL and had SEXUAL CONTENT”, it's really a different story now.  First thing to be said is: CBCP does not know sh*t about business or advertising psychology.  Just because there's two kids (probably below 8yrs old) talking about having a relationship, doesn’t mean that the other kids who watched that particular commercial would drop dead and say “Eoh Meh Gawd! I should have a girlfriend too! Right now! I don’t care what mom says, it's a conspiracy! The TV just showed it to me! Now all I need is 25 pesos to buy McDo fries, give it to a hooker, and then expect her to hold my hands, kiss me, and We Are On!” The CBCP (Gay Pedophiles and Molesters Organization)  complained to the MTRCB about that commercial on emotional grounds. They complained because maybe… THEY JUST FELT LIKE IT… or probably for another reason… *evil laugh*....................

YEP! The RH Bill. Several weeks before that commercial got banned, the anti-RH bill wackos are desperate to have supporters. They know that the PRO-RH guys are growing fast in numbers… I mean EXTREMELY fast. Currently, the statistics everywhere online goes about 75% Pro RH and 25% Anti RH.  That’s why they need to move quickly too, and have another plan. So, they told EVERY Catholic church in the Philippines to disperse Anti-RH Posters everywhere (showcasing Mary with Jesus in the womb… I don’t see the point), and there's on other churches when the Priests asked the crowd who were in favor of the RH Bill [hands raised] the priests immediately told them to go out from their church. HAHA. Losers. Atleast by that time , there's a lot of people who converted away from Catholicism because they were disgusted with its medieval and radical system.

Japan. They have a large number of people, their country is small, and is composed of groups of islands. But why is Japan 600% more advanced in every aspect compared to the Philippines? Their economy is great, their medical advancement is flourishing, their technology research is pioneering, and everything there is just better than the Philippines. Well the answer is obvious. Japan is a secular country. Every secular country in the world is doing great in terms of economy and development. Why? Because whenever someone in the office decides to pass a law/bill/implementations, there's no one, or no group trying to oppose it and say “We won't allow it because we don’t feel like it”.  Technically, in the Philippines, the Church is already separated from the State, but ask anyone around if they feel that it's really separated, and they would answer “I thought the Catholic Priests controls our country”

Let’s go back to the RH Bill. I am a Christian (not really the best one you can find), but I know for sure that the RH Bill does not violate any of what is written in the Bible. One says “Go to the world and multiply”… well God said to COVER the [entire] earth. NOT cover the entire Philippines! 300,000 square kilometers, but with almost 100million people living in poverty? Come on. Don’t you think it's a bit enough for “multiplying”? Anyway, it's not about the quantity here. It's about the quality of life a child can have.

The bottom line is, what’s gonna happen after this? After the RH Bill, when there's another bill or law to be passed, and the Catholics don’t like it… will we start another chaos again? Infact, the Catholics must not even have a say about any of this since the Philippines is not an ALL Catholic country. We have a lot of Protestant denominations everywhere, and a lot of muslims in the south. When will the Philippines grow to be a developed country if there are hindrances and annoying obstacles blocking the road to success?

Freedom of men under government is to have a standing rule to live by, common to everyone in that society… and not to be subject to the inconstant, uncertain, unknown arbitrary will of another man.

As a Christian, I say, stop Religious oppression. Respect other faith, respect other people, respect the decision of our government.  Even Christ Himself was against the idea of Religion and Tradition.

atleast this mother here, knows how to think

Come on Filipinos, its gonna be 120million people in 2012.

Done with the layout!

Okay. This is what Im talking about. complete change of layout other than the preset template design. You can view the background image clearly by rightclicking on the bg, and choose "view background image"

I also did the header with photoshop. I just experimented with the power of PNG files :D

Next step: Sitemap/ Labels

Blog views

I honestly don’t get many views in this blog.  I could go as far as 200 views per day (when I am online), and as low as 0 views. So that means, I must be online everyday to drive more traffic to my blog.

Anyway, I already made a twitter account for this blog, and I also plan on making a facebook fanpage.

I will also revamp this blog’s design, from the preset templates, to my costumized one. Trust me, I used to do these things (making layouts and graphic designing) once, but not since my mom cut off our internet connection at home last November. That’s why, I always have to go around my grandparents house (I don’t think it's still a good idea to go there anymore, after what Ive said on Facebook regarding my grandparents) or in the internet cafés.

Anyway, I promise, in 2 weeks time, I will get this blog furnished so that I can place my regular posts.

I could need a few followers.

Language does not separate one from his nationality

I am a Filipino. Why? Simply because I grew up here. But sometimes I laugh at it… I laugh at myself. And guess what? I’m not the only one who laughs at myself, a lot of people do.

This is me

Our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, made two novels,  Noli me Tangere and El Filibusterismo (Touch me not and The Filibuster) It is mandatory for everyone during their 3rd and 4th yr in highschool, respectively, to have already read and understood these novels. Sure sure, I understood it, I knew the plot. But never did I had the chance to read it all (well I actually had LOTS of chance and spare time to read them, but that’s not the case)
I couldn’t really understand Filipino (Tagalaog) that well. I know Cebuano, the language most used in the central and southern Philippines, but it isn’t the national language, Tagalog is. If I were to list the languages or dialect that I understand it would be:
1)      English
2)      Cebuano
3)      Tagalong
4)      French
5)      Spanish
6)      Local Arabic/ maranao
7)      Gay language
And if youre asking if I’m good in math, the answer is NO. It is clear that I am a linguist, not a mathematician. Also, I’m only good in conversational English, not really good in formal writing and grammar, I only speak, not write. I debate, not send love letters.
I remember almost every day in high school, Filipino class, I would always ask what this ___ word means, and what that ____ word means again. I think my teacher was pissed off, since we cant proceed to reading the novel when every 3 minutes, I ask her the meaning of a certain Filipino word. At the end of highschool, my teacher gave me a grade of 75 / 100 = Passing grade. A normal student here, would have grades in Filipino about 90-95. I was always teased.  I was the odd one out, and I knew it.
Anyway, what I did to understand the novels was to download an English version of them. It was pretty easy to understand after all. Pretty exciting plot and a really dramatic story.
Also in relation to that, this literature piece was attached to the first few pages of it, just before the table of contents. This is what I wanted to share:

O masters, lords, and rulers in all lands,
Is this the handiwork you give to God,
This monstrous thing distorted and soul-quenched?
How will you ever straighten up this shape-;
Touch it again with immortality;
Give back the upward looking and the light;
Rebuild in it the music and the dream;
Make right the immemorial infamies,
Perfidious wrongs, immedicable woes?

O masters, lords, and rulers in all lands,
How will the future reckon with this man?
How answer his brute question in that hour
When whirlwinds of rebellion shake the world?
How will it be with kingdoms and with kings--
With those who shaped him to the thing he is--
When this dumb terror shall reply to God,
After the silence of the centuries?

Edwin Markham

-Pretty elegant isn’t it? Well unless you’re into literature, and linguistics like me, I know you would say this is crap. But anyway, I want to hear your opinions J
At the end of the day, I am pretty sure I valued and understood the novels that our national hero wrote, more than my classmates. They’ve read it for grades, as a requirement, for school. I read it for the soul.
Language and communication may be the road for success and development, but it will never be the reason for a nations failure. Human beings are smart enough. And language, does not make any person different from the rest.

Osama and Obama

It was during Labor Day, when I heard the news: “Osama Bin Laden – Finally Dead” and I was like: “Seriously?” with a blank but doubtful face.  Then Obama just had a speech regarding their raid operation in Pakistan. It was all confusing.
(tl;dr? You may go directly to the bottom of this post and read the last part if you don’t have 3 minutes to read this following block)

The moment I heard his name; “OSAMA” I immediately thought about the 9/11 attack.
No, don’t get me wrong here, it’s not that I believe he was behind the attack, but because HE was the one blamed for the attack. And after that, Americans now have a valid reason to be racist against the Middle Eastern.  I’m not one who believes everything the media says, infact I don’t actually believe that everything they say is 100% true. I know it because my dad once worked as a journalist. There’s one time a disaster happened, with 13 people dead, but the news company he worked for (Leading newspaper in the Philippines) didn’t like it. And so made it through the headlines with 53 people dead. Now 13 and 53 are really different numbers… I mean REALLY different. Also, whenever the government wants something to be hidden, they immediately contact the media to report something fake, divert people’s attention, or totally hide the event that just happened. Anyway, 9/11? Here are my theories:

A. The towers
1)      CIA under the command of President Bush trains a middle eastern to act behind the camera and represent the terrorist group Al Qaeda . Expose himself on the news a couple of times to strike terror to people.
2)      He then hires 19 middle eastern to board 4 planes, hijack it, and do a kamikaze attempt directed to critical areas and infrastructures of the US, and blow them up
Chances are,  not any of those hijackers straight from the slums of Pakistan, who cant even do simple maths, HIJACK 4 PLANES AND MANUEVER it.  Plus, they had no guns, or any weapons aside from BOX CUTTERS. AND I don’t really think (no prejudice here, just being realistic) that those group of people are THAT smart to know precise and accurate strategic locations where to divert the planes. A plane crashed into a building like that of a twin towers would probably only blow up 5 or 10 stories. NOT a whole building that big. The impact was one the upper part of the building itself, but after days of investigating, reports show that the ground level of the building seemed to have exploded and caused the building to collapse down from the root. Also, the steel and metal frames of the ground level of the buildings were MELTED. But how exactly is that? When the planes impact where on the top levels of the towers? Weird eh?
3)      They placed C4 bombs in the building’s basement. No doubt about that really. Unless those towers stored millions of gallons of explosive thermites  underground (I don’t see the logic), the building shouldn’t have collapsed.
B. The Benefit
1)      We all know how precious oil is. And most of its source is in the middle east.  We also know how the US wants it so badly that they go to the middle east and kill innocent people saying “this is for counter terrorism” and actually steal their oil. Now, before 9/11, they had really no solid reason in attacking the middle east. But now that they have someone to blame, they can now go freely to Iraq and Pakistan and other countries and slaughter civilians who are just trying to defend their land.

C.  Where is Osama?
1)      After the 9/11, we haven’t heard about Osama anymore. Not a single soul knew where he was. And after 10 years, the US magically found Osama chillin in his crib in Pakistan? I don’t really get it.
Theories: -  After 9/11 He may have died in 2002 or the following years OR
He is still alive right now laughing his ass off about this.
D. Bottom Line
Obama only did this so that he could win the trust of the Americans and re-elect him in the 2012 elections. Its that simple. First, they magically locate Osama, the Operation was to capture him alive, but then out of the blue, one soldier kills him because he is a pain in the ass, Osama and his guys there were unarmed, (Rules of engagement people!) Now they wouldn’t show a picture of his body because it might cause a controversy (on what? Because its obviously fake and photoshopped?) And they didn’t bury the body because it might become a shrine for Muslims (I’ve read the Quran, and trust me, if Osama really did those things, NO muslim would ever go there) so THEY THREW THE F*CKING BODY TO THE SEA! Yeah that’s right! NO DAMN EVIDENCE. NOT A SINGLE PROOF.

And hey, don’t tell me about that DNA Bullsh*t, whos DNA is used to match it? And HOW the hell did they get the first material to match to the DNA they got now?  And if they did manage to get his DNA a couple of years ago, then who would say that this isn’t also the one they used now? Who can confirm that the DNA is his? The top elites? The ones who are worth showing it to? Is there even a DNA evidence?
I leave you with those questions. I hope you had the time to read and post your opinions here.

I may not agree with what you’ll say, but I will defend to death, your right to say it. Freedom
– peace out home dawgs : )

The Long story about my Pets

I love animals, I love nature, I have lots of pets, I haven’t spent a single day in my entire life(starting at 5 lol, I couldn’t remember my pets before it) without one. I had 7 dogs in total and 4 puppies right now, 5 of the dogs already died.
The first one, when I was about 5 or 7 years old was Sonic. He was a mutt, but looks exactly like a Labrador retriever.  He was probably the strongest dog for his size, and considering that he was a mutt. He was fast, strong, and always on the move. A very loyal dog, he died when I was 15 or 16, probably 3rd year highschool (2008). He died of old age… I didn’t really cry because I was expecting it. He was very sick in his last few days. It was really sad, and I wish he was still alive right now. We buried him in our backyard.
But before he died, we already had Barbie; a Rottweiler in 2006. She was the reason why we moved in to a new house. She was given to us by my parents friend, who owned a lot of dogs and show-material rottweilers, she was an ordinary one, and called “just one of the dogs” so the owner gave them to us. She had puppies about 2-3 months shortly, so we had to move into a new neighborhood because the current one we stayed in wasn’t really a good environment in raising those puppies. 2 of them was given to Barbie’s previous owner, and about 2 of them were sold. It was VERY expensive raising purebred rotties. The papers and immunization alone costs much, as well as the anti-rabis and other injections.
The 3 left were Kiko (the same nick name of our mayor, since the puppies were born on his birthday), Preachy (like our grandmother Preciosa) and Kitchie (Kitchie Nadal, a singer who had a concert in our city, our church hosted the concert). They were still puppies when my dad decided to sell Preachy as a guard dog in his friend’s house. I often visited Preachy there and she still recognizes me. About 1 or 2 years afterwards, Preachy died trying to fend off a Cobra. She was bitten and died shortly. Kitchie was the biggest one, she was also sold when she was a puppy, to my parents friend to guard their warehouse of rice. She's the one who lived the longest, since she died just recently in 2010 or was it 2009. She was often on their store (and not on the warehouse) during daytime, and I also visit her often. Kiko was the one who remained with us, he was the 2nd runt of the group(the first one, named Dracula, died days after birth. Me and my brother named him Dracula because it sucked Barbie’s reproductive organ, lol, and it gave out blood) Kiko did not live to be an adult. He died of something about parasites in his stomach, my dad failed to give him immunizations (monthly). I knew something was wrong with him as he always lies on his stomach on an elevated surface and moan. My family brought him to our grandparents house one day ( I wasn’t there) and then Kiko died. They buried him outside, along with his spiked collar. It was sad not seeing him for the last time.
Anyway, Barbie died earlier before them. She died from a Heatstroke. My dad placed her leash on the fence (as he would every morning) but he went to work and forgot to transfer him back to the shades. We all went home and I was the first one who noticed Barbie lying on the ground. I went inside the gate and saw her nose with a track of dried blood on the ground. She was already dead hours ago.
Then there were the rabbits. My best friend, Al (Alfonso Cañete) had lots of rabbits at their home. When the time came their rabbits had offsprings, he decided to give 2 to me. I named the brown one Brunny, and the white one, Hunny. If I had known that the brown one was the female and the white one was the males, trust me, I shouldn’t have named them that way. Anyway, they lived peacefully in our backyard. We had an open lot backyard and they were free to run around everywhere. And sometimes they rest under the table and chairs in our porch. One morning, I woke up by my dad’s voice and his chatter with neighbors about a little dead rabbit beside our mango tree in the backyard. It was weird since we didn’t know that Hunny and Brunny had offspring’s. It was apparently killed by a stray cat. Cats love to kill baby rabbits. We searched everywhere for rabbit holes, and we found one just right outside my room (ofcourse, theres a wall separating my bed and the hole outside). We got about 2 or 3 bunnies inside it, I took them in, but my dad insisted on letting them outside. I was aware of the cat roaming around in search of other bunnies to kill. Days afterwards, we couldn’t find the rabbits anymore, we assumed that they were killed and taken by the stray cats. Then I found one rabbit alone in the backyard, he must have survived and the others were killed. He named him Baxter. He had a combination of gray and white fur. My stubborn parents still decided to let him outside, and the next thing we know, our neighbor told me about a dead rabbit in their backyard. It was him. He was probably taken by the cat and left it there. We tried to excavate the hole. We soon found rabbit skin and bones, days after the hole was destroyed. Which means brunny gave birth to a runt who died days after it was born, or a rat might have went inside the hole and killed it, OR there was still a bunny left when my brother destroyed the hole.
Months passed, and Brunny never had bunnies anymore. But then one rainy day, my brother found a baby rabbit in our front yard. We found the rabbit hole and got 5 bunnies, 3 grays, 1 white, and 1 tan(light brown). We placed them inside a big cage (which was intended for Barbie). That evening, while watching TV, we heard some squeaks. We thought it was a mouse, but the sound was loud and we can sense pain. I immediately went outside and caught the cat holding a light brown rabbit in its mouth. As I was about to rush in, the cat dropped the rabbit, and ran away. The poor rabbit tried to run to safety, to me (although he didn’t really knew me that well, but he must have thought that humans are safer than cats). It hid behind my foot, I picked it up, and went to the cage. I saw that there were 2 bunnies left. I also picked up the 2 survivors. This time, I insisted on letting them live inside the house. The ones left were Baxter(the second), she had gray fur, Ihid (Cebuano for Runt), also had gray fur, and Tan, because he had a Tan fur : ).
A Month or two after that, Hunny died. It was 1 am, I was on the living room, and I heard an animal squeaking, I thought it was the cat being killed by the dog, so I was happy, but then I realized cats don’t make that sound. I hurried outside and found 2 dogs each biting hunny’s body. My dad locked the gate and I had a hard time opening it. By the time I opened it, they were gone. I searched everywhere around the block, but it was no use. Morning came, and we found hunny’s body, outside the gates of our neighbor three houses away. Apparently, those stupid dogs were theirs. We took hunny’s body and threw him on the river outside the neighborhood. A few days afterwards, I woke up, with my dad saying, Brunny is also dead. She also went outside during the night, but this time the neighbors threw Brunny’s body in front of our gate. We knew their dogs killed her. What’s worse is that Brunny’s stomach was ripped open.
The three bunnies were extremely cute, except for Ihid, the runt. His fur was unlike any normal rabbit. It was soft, COTTON soft.  And so instead of her fur leaning down on her back, it was pointed in different directions. Just imagine a newly washed hair, and a hair that hadn’t been washed for 1 month.  The later part is of Ihid.  But she actually grew up and became really beautiful.
My dad bought an elegant flowering plant, and placed it in our front yard. One morning, my dad caught Tan chewing on the plant, and he immediately threw away Tan. Tan supposedly landed on his back on the edge of the pathway and died. (That was his story) But I believe he beat Tan to death with a stick or something, because of anger. I woke up and our helper/maid told me that Tan is buried backyard.
There are two rabbits left. BOTH were females. Now they lived the longest, than any of our rabbits. They lived peacefully for almost a year. And then Trixie came.
My dad went home at lunch, and brought home a puppy. She was a small khaki-tan colored terrier-shih tzu. Trixie quickly grew up, and became friends with the rabbits. Well they aren’t actually friends, because Trixie is always kept on a leash, but atleast she doesn’t bark at them every time she sees them. Not much was going on around at that time, and then this November 2010, my sister brought in a kitten from school, to my mom’s office. She said it was from her classmate, and her mom didn’t want to have kittens so they have to give the kittens away.
We took it home and named her (it's about to change) Maoui (maH-wee) it's because whenever she cries it sounds like “mahw” and not meow. We thought she was a girl, but it turned out just recently that the “she” was a “HE”.  We kept him inside the house for a few days, but then he always takes a crap under a table beside the sink.  And we don’t want to smell crap while we were eating. So my dad let it sleep outside. The next thing we know, we heard his screams one night. I rushed outside and found him in the mouth of the stray cat, and then I remembered how the exact situation happened to Tan. The cat also dropped Maoui and ran away. Poor Maoui, soaked in blood, ran towards me. He ran like a drunken man, falling side to side, I picked him up and kept him inside. He was really weak, I was afraid that he was going to die. His neck was bleeding, but after a few while, it stopped. I wrapped him in a lot of clothes and brought stuffed toys to him to play with, as well as water and food, but he just rested and rested til morning. He regained some of his strength in the morning, but I still let him sleep inside.
After a few days, my dad decided to let him sleep outside, I didn’t think it was a good idea, so he placed Maoui inside a clothes dumpster so he won't be attacked by the stray cat. Then one night, the screams happened again. The cat’s paws can fit exactly in the holes of the dumpster. It harassed Maoui every night. We decided to place Mauoi within the reach of Trixie’s leash. Soon enough, they became best friends. When the time came that Mauoi was big enough to know what to do in case the cat attacks again, we didn’t put him inside the dumpster anymore. Still, he always takes a crap inside our house. Then the time came when dad couldn’t take it anymore, he threatened to throw Maoui away if he still takes a crap inside. I insisted not to. I took him outside and we all tried out best not to let Maoui inside the house. He eventually goes inside the house every now and then and takes a crap. We immediately clean it. Now when Maoui can't get inside the house, he takes a crap in our doorstep. Whenever we caught him trying to take a crap, we immediately pick him up and transfer him to another place. It took weeks until he got the point. He now goes backyard and unloads his crap there.
It didn’t take long until December arrived. Just days before Christmas, we got a new dog from my mom’s office mate.  It was a terrier-mutt, she had black hair so we called her Oprah. She was very very hostile to everyone, especially to me. She won't attack me or so, but she won't let me pet her either. I tried to reach my hand to her head, and she attempted to bite me. So I gave up. After 3 days,  there she was chasing the rabbits, just like a wild dog. I stopped her and she went back to her cage. An instance came when Trixie broke free of her leash, and chased the rabbits herself. And after a while, Oprah joined in. This happened while we were asleep. I woke up with my dad saying that I have to get Ihid’s body from our storage room (a room beside our gate) Ihid apparently was trapped inside there, hiding from the dogs. I ran quickly and found Oprah near the storage’s door. I shooed her off. But trixie was still there, I tried to shoo her off, but it seemed like she was so bloodthirsty on killing Ihid. I hated trixie that time, but she couldn’t really kill Ihid. She just chased her for fun. Apparently, the rabbit didn’t get the same message, maybe because Oprah, didn’t chase her for fun, but because Oprah wanted to kill the rabbit. Ihid didn’t have bite marks, or even blood. I checked on her ears, and it was really cold. She died of a heart attack.  It was Christmas, December 24, and it was the saddest Christmas ever.
I was really mad about what happened. We buried Ihid in the backyard, beside sonic. After that, I threw in my rage at Oprah. I shook her cage violently, tried to hit her, and kick her. She was traumatized that’s why, she's still afraid of me now. I found Baxter in the backyard, still shaking and cold, so I let her inside the house. I promised to take care of her, and do everything to let her live. I locked Oprah’s cage, and my dad leashed Trixie again.
I set Baxter free in the backyard, assuming it was safe. I never heard of her days afterwards. I assumed everything was okay, and Baxter lived peacefully. After a week, I tried to find Baxter, but I couldn’t seem to find her. I thought she was just hiding or resting, so I didn’t mind sweating on the search. Another week has passed and it seemed weird that I still couldn’t find her. Yet another week passed and I started to worry. I asked my mom where Baxter was, and she said that Baxter died 3 days just after Ihid. THE BASTARDS. NEVER. TOLD ME.  I found out that Trixie had broken free from her leash again, and Oprah could escape from the cage. That time, I really wanted to kill Oprah. First, she doesn’t let me touch her, and she's  the newest dog in our house, and just within one week, she killed my two precious rabbits. I couldn’t do anything about it.
After one month, my hatred for Oprah had cooled down a bit. I tried to pet her a couple of times, and I finally did. I tried to tame her by giving her food. She was hesitant to get it from my hand, but she tried. I can feed and pet her inside the cage. But whenever were outside, she quickly runs inside the cage. She feels safe there.
As time passed Oprah became less afraid of me. Whenever we open the gate, she always tries to get outside. But the instance she gets a sight of me, she quickly runs inside the gate, and back to her cage. I don’t even have to say a word. A time came when she went outside and there a really ugly dog from our neighbours mated with her. The dog was so ugly, he was a pure mutt. A really ugly mutt. And I was really angry at Oprah because she just got pregnant with that ugly mutt. Anyway, just almost 2 weeks ago, she gave birth to 4 puppies. 1 white, and 3 black. I don’t know their names, as they were just recently named by my sister.
Now, they can stand up on their own and learned how to walk. They also know how to bark (squeaky one). They are still as small as my hand. And I hope they won't turn out ugly.
My dad has been mentioned quite a lot here, it's because he’s not an animal lover. He never was. He is responsible for the death of the rottweilers and of the rabbits. My mom hadn’t been mentioned here because she's pretty much boring.
